This has many contemporary art works exhibited inside the Chapel. The war memorial is yet another place to visit and you have to go to the second station of the Cross on Zirl Kalvarienberg Mountain. This artistic memorial has been erected in the memory of the soldiers who died during World War I.

The town of Zirl is also known for many art and crafts shows and one of the best of them is the Christmas cribs. The first church crib seems to have been started in the year 1627. Since then every year during the Christmas time cribs can be visited in private houses. The Baroque crib featuring figures with wax heads and glass eyes wearing magnificent clothes is the best of all. You can see all types of Cribs made of paper and wood which can be seen in the local heritage museum. Thus the town of Zirl is one of the best vacation destinations in the Alps region.
